About Us

An independent family of technology & manufacturing companies powering the renewable energy value chain

RCT Group is a privately held family of technology  and manufacturing companies headquartered in Konstanz, Germany. From integrated PV factories and utility-scale battery systems to manufacturing energy storage, we turn ambitious energy visions into proven industrial reality—backed by German engineering standards and a global execution footprint spanning Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Our business

RCT Solutions

End-to-end consulting, engineering, and ramp-up services for photovoltaic cell and module manufacturing plants.

RCT Power

Tier-1 residential, C&I storage systems, off-grid and hybrid inverter manufacturer, recognised by EUPD and Top Brand PV 2025 six years in a row.

RCT GH Hydrogen

German-designed PEM and alkaline electrolyser stacks, balance-of-plant subsystems, and skid-mounted refuelling solutions.

RCT Modules

A sourcing and distribution platform delivering modules backed by RCT Engineering with transparent, bankable warranties.

RCT Finance Advisory

In-house bridge between technology and capital, structuring financing for renewable energy projects and making it bankable for ministries, utilities, and private developers worldwide.

An Integrated Renewable Energy Ecosystem

Each company operates autonomously while drawing on a shared backbone in materials science, high-precision automation, power electronics, and now project finance. This structure preserves specialist focus yet gives partners a single interface across generation, storage, hydrogen production, and the tailored funding that de-risks capital-intensive assets.

RCT Group’s roots reach back to the early 1990s, when founder Prof. Dr. Peter Fath pioneered advances in crystalline-silicon cell technology. His guiding principle—that manufacturing know-how is the real lever of the energy transition—still drives us today. Our teams have engineered more than 73 GW of PV manufacturing capacity, delivered gigawatt-hours of battery storage, and are scaling flagship hydrogen projects across the globe.

As a privately-owned enterprise, we grow conservatively and reinvest in people, R&D, and long-term partnerships. More than 650 engineers, scientists, and finance professionals—representing 18 nationalities—work from offices in Germany, China, Türkiye, India, and the United States.

Looking toward 2030, RCT Group will continue to expand where our combined manufacturing, engineering and financing capabilities unlock distinctive value—always avoiding overlap, always keeping customer transparency at the centre. Together we design, industrialise, and finance the technologies that will power factories, cities, and mobility with zero-carbon electrons and molecules.

Milestones in our group's history

1993 – 1999

Industry pioneers led by Prof. Dr. Peter Fath worked in high-efficiency crystalline-silicon cell R&D and renewable energy technologies in Germany.
